Flying High

My beautiful baby earned her angel wings at 4.22am.

She was lying next to me holding my hand, peaceful throughout.

Fly high, baby. Heaven has got a very special angel today.

  14. Dearest Kerry

I remember like it was yesterday the moment we met in the Chapel at Addenbrooke's. You had just found out that Holly had cancer and you were crying. I had decided to distance myself from other cancer mums because I was finding Gabriel's diagnosis so hard that I could not be around other's sadness too - but you were different. As you cried I knew we had been meant to meet and to be friends. Together, you had Holly gave Gabriel and I so much friendship.

I remember Gabriel drawing pictures for Holly when she was having chemo and Gabe was having a check up. She was so sweet and kind with him. She was a credit to you.

I will remember Holly for the rest of my life as the bravest and most stylish young lady I have ever met. She always looked funky and took pride in her appearance even when feeling so ill.

I am so sorry Kerry that it ended like this.

Good night sweet Holly. Sleep tight and rest in peace. You have inspired so many and given your mum and dad so much to be proud of.

  15. Goodnight dearest Holly. I didn't know of you for very long but it was clear to see what an amazing young lady you were. May you be pain-free, embrace your angel wings and watch over the loving family you have left behind.

The world is a much darker place without you, you have achieved more in your life than many people could hope to achieve in 50 years.

Until we meet, fly high angel x x

  25. I don't know you or your family, but have been following your blog since being told of it through a family member of yours, who I know via a football message board.
The world is a small place and we often touch others that we never meet.

As a mother of three daughters I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. You had a very special little girl who displayed courage and strength throughout.

Be proud of her, even though she has been taken from you too early.
Sometimes some need only a short time to give the world something others never achieve over decades.

Holly will leave something special of herself with all those she touched.

My heartfelt sympathies to you and all your family.

RIP Holly - you deserve something very special now.

you are all in our thoughts at this very sad time, life can be so cruel. But you can be very proud of Holly, the fight she put up and also of yourselves, for all the love and care you gave her. Sadly no-one has all the answers to this terrible disease. It was a pleasure to have known Holly even though our meets were few and far between but she still leaves us with fond and happy memories, particularly those skates!
Now at peace Holly, look over us all.
Our thoughts are with you all for now and the future.
